Privacy Policy

Peter V. Arcese, Esq., practicing as Arcese Law and PVA Counsel (“we,” “us”), takes your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect information obtained from visitors to this website and from prospective clients.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. Your name, email address, telephone number, the contents of any contact form or email you send, any information about a legal matter, and anything else you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our font provider (Google Fonts) receive standard technical information when pages load, such as IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites.

2. How we use information

To respond to inquiries, evaluate a potential client relationship (including checking for conflicts of interest), maintain and improve the website, comply with legal and professional obligations, and prevent fraud. Information relating to legal representation is handled in accordance with the New York Rules of Professional Conduct and applicable rules of privilege and confidentiality.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help operate the website or deliver contact-form submissions to us (currently Cloudflare and Web3Forms), who are obligated to keep it confidential; when required by law; to protect our rights or prevent fraud; or with your consent.

4. Security

This site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to inquiries is limited. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send confidential information through this website.

5. Retention

Inquiries that do not result in an engagement are generally kept for two years after the last communication. We may keep information longer where needed for conflict checks, legal compliance or the resolution of disputes.

6. Your choices

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to our legal and professional obligations, and you may opt out of further communications at any time. Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

7. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

8. International visitors

Information submitted through this site is processed in the United States under U.S. law.

9. No attorney-client relationship

Contacting us through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information you send before an engagement is confirmed in writing may not be privileged.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
